Anything less that lavish would be unacceptable when designing a lounge for the stars. That’s why Architectural Digest selected interior designer Roger Thomas to create the Architectural Digest Green room in the Kodak Theatre for the 82nd annual Academy Awards, which were held this past Sunday.
CasaSugar.com recently blogged about the room’s completion. The writer describes the room’s features:
“On the right-hand side of the room, you can see that, as planned, he’s hand painted a few chairs to turn them into one-of-a-kind pieces. Not only does it have an artsy, painterly quality, but it subtly brings in a bit of color to combat all the neutral furnishings. The (splatter paint) floors also give the several different seating areas a more cohesive look. It’s smart (for) Thomas to choose to forgo a traditional coffee table in favor of five small stools, ottomans, and side tables which could potentially moonlight as seating.”
What do you think? If you were about to take the stage in front of all of Hollywood’s stars, would you be able to relax in this room?
