While it’s origins trace to Southeast Asia, South America and the Middle East, ikat fabric is very trendy in the interior designs of many Western cultures. Ikat fabric undergoes a complicated technique that involves weaving dyed threads to create a particular pattern. Two different techniques used to create ikat are weft and warp.
